Nike has officially announced its first-ever collaboration with renowned Japanese designer NIGO. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the world of streetwear and sneaker culture, bringing together two iconic names for a unique and highly anticipated collection.
NIGO, the creative force behind brands like BAPE and Human Made, has teamed up with Nike to create a special edition of the Air Force 3 Low, dubbed the “Blue Void.” This sneaker features a vibrant mix of blue, red, yellow, and pink, with a premium upper crafted from embossed leathers. The design draws inspiration from NIGO’s favorite films and television shows, reflecting his deep-rooted cultural influences.
In addition to the Air Force 3 Low, the collaboration includes an apparel capsule featuring a varsity jacket and hoodie. These pieces are designed through the lens of NIGO’s cultural inspirations, blending contemporary streetwear with nostalgic elements. The collection aims to celebrate the intersection of fashion, culture, art, and music.
The Nike x NIGO collection will debut on September 28, 2024, exclusively at Otsumo Plaza in Tokyo, humanmade.jp, and the “I Know Nigo 2” pop-up store in New York. A global launch is set for October 4, 2024, via Nike’s SNKRS app and select retail locations.
