Denim Tears Collaborates with Arthur Jafa for New “Systemic Racism Controls America” Collection

Denim Tears, the brainchild of designer Tremaine Emory, has teamed up with acclaimed video artist and filmmaker Arthur Jafa to create a powerful and thought-provoking collection titled “Systemic Racism Controls America”. The collaboration aims to address and challenge the pervasive issue of systemic racism in the United States.

Tremaine Emory, who previously served as the creative director for Supreme, left the brand in August, citing the organization’s systemic racism as a key factor in his decision. With this collaboration, Emory and Jafa continue their mission to raise awareness and provoke conversations about racial injustice.

The centerpiece of the collection is the “Systemic Racism Controls America Zip Up Hoodie”. Available in both red and black, this hoodie features bold graphics that confront the viewer with the harsh realities of racial inequality. The red version, shown above, retails for $175. The black version is also available.
