UPDATE: The technical apparel brand UNAFFECTED has returned for another Fall/Winter collaboration with ASICS, this time to outfit the GEL-KAYANO 20 with three colorways designed for the outdoors. A global release at select retailers, including Necessities, is expected in the subsequent weeks.
ORIGINAL: The South Korean brand UNAFFECTED has once again partnered with ASICS, following their end-of-2023 release of the GEL-KAYANO 14 in three colorways featuring a unique cord lacing system. As part of their ongoing “HEXAGONAL” Fall/Winter 2024 collection, they are introducing another collaborative effort.
This latest collaboration focuses on the new GEL-KAYANO 20, a model that has been at the center of numerous partnerships this year, including those with KENZO, Bodega, and Doublet. UNAFFECTED has revisited the cord lacing system for three new colorways of the sneaker in red, cream, and black. The design combines classic ASICS branding with distinctive UNAFFECTED touches on the lateral heel and the sockliner of the left shoe. Additionally, a special mudguard serves as an overlay, enhancing the sneaker’s complex structure.
As of now, the release date for the UNAFFECTED and ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 collaboration has not been announced. However, according to Le.Syndrome, the launch is anticipated around early November, with availability through UNAFFECTED, ASICS, and select retail partners.
