A BATHING APE®︎ and MLB Join Forces with NEW ERA®︎ for Exclusive 59FIFTY Caps Collection

Tokyo, Japan — In an exciting collaboration, A BATHING APE®︎ (BAPE®︎), the iconic Japanese streetwear brand, has teamed up with Major League Baseball (MLB) and NEW ERA®︎ to create a limited-edition collection of 59FIFTY® caps. These head-turning caps combine the timeless appeal of NEW ERA®︎’s classic silhouette with BAPE®︎’s signature flair.

For this exclusive collaboration, BAPE®︎ has taken the caps of three MLB teams—New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, and Los Angeles Angels—and infused them with their distinctive BAPE CAMO®︎ pattern. Each team’s cap features a unique colorway: New York Yankees: Navy and yellow, Chicago White Sox: Black and purple, Los Angeles Angels: Green and red.

The batterman logo on the back of each cap is color-coordinated to match the team’s colors. Additionally, the underside of the brim features complementary hues: yellow and red have green undersides, while navy, black, purple, and green have gray undersides.

The 59FIFTY® style, synonymous with NEW ERA®︎, has been a staple in baseball culture since its inception in 1954. Worn by MLB players and beloved by athletes and influencers worldwide, these caps are constructed from six panels, ensuring a classic silhouette that resists deformation. The unique inner core of the front panel maintains its shape, making it a favorite in both sports and streetwear circles.

This exclusive collection will be available starting March 9, 2024, at select A BATHING APE® stores in Japan and online at BAPE.COM. Each cap is priced at ¥14,300 (including tax).
