After being hospitalized due to a “medical emergency” in recent weeks, Jamie Foxx appears to be on the road to recovery.

Corinne Foxx, the actor, singer and comedian’s daughter, (and his co-star on game show Beat Shazam) took to her Instagram Stories to share that he’s been out of the hospital for “weeks” after earlier reports indicated that his friends and family were “preparing for the worst.”

According to the post, Foxx has been recuperating, and is even healthy enough to play pickleball. Corinne also noted the breathless media coverage around her father’s hospitalization, stating that it was “sad” to see how news outlets “ran wild” reporting on his purported ailments.

The younger Foxx also thanked her father’s fans for their prayers and support, and said that an “exciting work announcement” was coming next week as well.
